City & State PA’s regional Healthcare Summits offer industry executives, public sector leaders and academics a full day conference dedicated to fostering partnerships between government and the private sector to improve the delivery of healthcare services. We will hear from policy makers, healthcare organizations and advocacy groups within the healthcare industry in three separate panel discussions. Attendees will learn about the solutions for the region's elder care crisis, innovations in primary care delivery, new programs to support our most vulnerable populations, and innovations in healthcare technology.

The Greater Philadelphia Healthcare Summit will seek to address these topics and more. Each of our live panels will dig into a different aspect of the region's healthcare challenges. All of City & State's policy summits offer industry executives, public sector leaders and academics the opportunity to debate over critical issues and develop solutions that will benefit all stakeholders.

Panel 1: Building an Effective Response to Nutritional Challenges

Like so many other parts of the country, the Greater Philadelphia region is dealing with everything from food deserts to eating disorders, as well as inflation and nutrition-related health inequities. How are state and local policymakers addressing these issues and what resources do the region’s nonprofits bring to the table? In this panel, we will hear from leaders addressing food insecurity and innovators in nutrition as we tackle the policies that will ultimately build a healthier community.

Panel 2: The Crisis in Elder Care

The Great Resignation, the economy, and unprecedented income opportunities for lower wage earners has caused a severe shortage in caregivers for our most vulnerable populations. How are government agencies at local and state levels responding, what are providers doing to retain existing employees and attract new ones, and what role can family members trained as caregivers play in ensuring that senior Pennsylvanians are protected and thriving?

Panel 3: Meet me at the Intersection of Tech and Healthcare

Despite its abatement in severity, COVID-19 continues to impact virtually every aspect of life, perhaps nowhere more so than health care. Pennsylvania’s health systems and services continue to reinvent their approach to this crucial sector. From artificial intelligence to smartwatches, from the continuing trend toward telehealth to airpods that double as hearing aids, the implications for the continuing synthesis of healthcare and technology have never been more apparent. Find out how we got here, where we are going and what it means for the respective industries and the people impacted by them.
