More than 200 people braved the rain but made a splash at Cockatoo in Center City Philadelphia last week for the 2022 Pride Power 100 event, where City & State celebrated the most influential people in the LGBTQ community. The evening featured speeches from Jessica Rothchild, a Scranton City Council Member, Lorena Plaza, vice president of planning and analysis for Independence Blue Cross and Sean Strub, the mayor of Milford Borough and a groundbreaking pioneer for LGBTQ rights. Keynote remarks were delivered by state Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta and NBC10 meteorologist Steve Sosna served as the evening’s emcee.
