SUSAN PEIFFER, Publisher

Susan Peiffer comes to City & State PA from Metro Philadelphia and Metro Boston, where she served as publisher of the daily newspapers for several years. During her time there, Peiffer developed expansion opportunities for the publication, such as an exclusive distribution agreement with the transit authority SEPTA and strategic partnerships with nonprofits and political organizations. Additionally, Peiffer is known for developing robust digital media platforms and finding new ways to engage with readers and stakeholders. Prior to relaunching City & State PA, Susan served in various leadership roles at the Philadelphia Inquirer, Valassis, and the Washington Examiner. A resident of Bucks County, Susan also sits on the boards of several nonprofit arts organizations.

GREG SALISBURY, Editor-in-Chief

Greg Salisbury is the longest-tenured member of the City & State PA team, having come on board in 2016. A former editor and publisher of his elementary-school newspaper, the Estes Hills Eagle, Greg has been involved in journalism across numerous media, including television, newspapers, magazines and digital. As the editor of City & State's Power Lists, he is always looking for input on people who should be included.

JUSTIN SWEITZER, Managing Editor

Justin Sweitzer is a native of the Lehigh Valley who has lived in Harrisburg since 2019. A graduate of Kutztown University, he has covered state and local government for a variety of Pennsylvania-based publications, including The PLS Reporter, WFMZ-TV, The Home News and The Lehigh Valley Press. Justin has a strong passion for writing about state-level policy in a manner that educates and informs readers throughout the Commonwealth, and hopes to meet that goal as a member of the City and State Pennsylvania team.

HARRISON CANN, Senior Reporter

A Bethlehem, Pennsylvania native, Harrison Cann has political reporting experience in both Pennsylvania and Maryland. As a member of the University of Maryland Class of 2019, he covered local and state government in College Park and Annapolis. Following graduation, he moved back to the Commonwealth to cover the legislature in Harrisburg. Harrison is excited to continue reporting on policy issues affecting everyone from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh, and everywhere in between.

Jordan is a New York native and Beloit College graduate. In 2020, while pursuing education in fact-checking and copy editing at NYU, she began freelancing within the City & State family and has been with the PA and NY teams in various capacities ever since. She previously worked in nonprofits, music recording, and commercial post-production.

MIKE FLECK, Senior Sales Executive

A native Pennsylvanian, Mike has over two decades of experience in Pennsylvania government, inclusive of five years of service on his local school board and four consecutive terms as a state representative in the Pennsylvania General Assembly. Mike served on Governor Tom Wolf’s transition team for agriculture and later joined the Wolf administration as the Bureau Director for Workforce Partnerships and Operations. Under his leadership, Mike managed the PA CareerLink System. Mike later served as the political director for the Pennsylvania State Education Association.

ABBY HIMES, Sales Executive

Residing in Chester County, Abby Himes is a native of Erie, PA and is dedicated to the social and economic growth of our keystone state. She brings over ten years of sales and advertising experience including print and digital content creation, SaaS, and event sponsorships. Throughout her career, Abby has been fostering new relationships and driving new revenue to SMBs and startups across the Commonwealth. Abby is excited to connect the public and private sectors and contribute to the common good of her home city and state.

Leah has been working in Experiential Marketing and the Corporate Event space since graduating from Saint Joseph’s University in 2018. After receiving her degree in English Literature, she moved to Manhattan, New York and has worked with large technology and financial institutions including Verizon, Samsung, American Express, and Freedom Mortgage. Her skillset in creating cohesive brand strategies combined with unforgettable experiences is something she takes pride in and looks forward to creating these moments with City and State, Pennsylvania. Leah is excited to be back in Pennsylvania and in her free time enjoys snowboarding, mystery podcasts, bread making, and knitting.
