City & State’s political and government coverage from 2022 earned statewide recognition in this year’s Keystone Media Awards, taking home two awards for investigative and enterprise journalism.

The awards, which are run by the Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association, recognize journalists and media organizations from throughout the commonwealth.

City & State won second place in investigative reporting for a story examining state Sen. Doug Mastriano’s ties to the social media platform Gab.

City & State brought home another second-place award in enterprise reporting for our “Exit Interviews” magazine feature, which was centered around interviews with Pat Toomey, Tom Wolf, Jake Corman, Mike Doyle and Fred Keller – five public officials from Pennsylvania who were finishing up their respective terms in 2022.

The Keystone Media Awards will be presented at an award ceremony hosted by the Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association in November.
