Thunderstorms and Canadian wildfire smoke couldn’t keep more than 150 people from coming to the Trestle Inn in Philadelphia to fete City & State’s 2023 Philadelphia Forty Under 40 honorees. The celebrants came together to recognize the myriad ways these young Philadelphians are making an impact as politicians and strategists, attorneys and entrepreneurs – but also as influencers in media, the arts, social and environmental advocacy and hospitality.

The evening’s festivities were ably orchestrated by emcee Teresa Lundy, the head of TML Communications, and featured a keynote address by honorees Rodney and Erika McLeod, the co-founders of the Change Our Future Foundation, which works to create a healthier future for kids, families and their communities. Other speakers included honorees like state Rep. Anthony Bellmon and past honoree Scott Heppard, the chief of staff for U.S. Rep. Brendan Boyle.
